“It’s never too late to be who you were meant to be.” —George Eliot (with thanks to Janina Fisher)

I'm a queer, cis-gendered woman who uses she/her pronouns. My practice is supportive of all gender and sexual identities. I work with a lot of people who talk with me about issues related to their sexuality, their gender, or both.

I am an experienced Clinical Psychologist- I'm passionate about empowering people towards wellness through using a strengths-based approach and working with you to help you be in touch with life’s glimmers.  My counselling practice is Trauma Informed.

I have been trained in and draw on a range of evidence based psychological approaches including:

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing)

  • Trauma Informed Stabilisation Treatment

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy

  • Solution Focussed Therapy

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

  • Narrative Therapy

  • Schema Therapy

  • Interpersonal Psychotherapy

  • DBT Skills training

  • Clinical applications of Polyvagal Theory

I have worked with clients in both public and private settings with a broad range of issues. I have particular interests in compassionate self-care, trauma recovery, clinician well-being, managing life transitions, and in the treatment of anxiety, depression, substance use, living with chronic illness and managing stress. My initial training was in Nursing, where I worked across several health environments, so I have a good understanding of the intersections between physical illnesses and emotional well being.

My registration and professional memberships include:

•   Registered Medicare provider
